Again, thank you for all the support on this strip. Unfortunately, the economics of living are diametrically opposed to the economics of what this strip earns here on GoComics. If we find a financially stable way of completing this work, we will take it.
I guess what I mean to say is that if you guys like something, be sure to let other people know. Not for our sake (that ship has sailed, for now), but for your own.
Waiting for the trade and waiting for the DVD may be convenient, but sometimes, the company (or the individuals) behind your preferred entertainments simply doesn’t have the bankroll on hand to wait for the eventual reward.
Maybe it’s a problem with ad-generated revenue with free content. Not only is it up to the creators to make something people like, but it’s also up to the consumers to make sure they promote things they like by linking to them on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
The entertainment world, it is a-changing.
Stoopid capitalism. Stoopid internet.
Graphic novel was the idea. At the moment, I’m outputting the last 30 pages or so of the strip into PDF form, with the goal of (hopefully) gaining some interest from a print publisher. If there is a way to both finish this work AND feed my face, you can be sure we will take it. After all, the whole thing is pretty much written/plotted at this point.
We still have the dream – I’m going to be concentrating on finishing up the colors for Book One of Eric Shanower’s “Age of Bronze” comic for the rest of the summer, and then getting back to work on Lisa and my OGN “Candy Coated.”
I’m sad today – I don’t like starting something and then not finishing it, especially something that I like. But thank you, all of you, for your support.
And if anyone is interested in seeing how this week’s strips look in final page form, head over to my Facebook page for a gander.
Hey guys, a quick heads-up: Lisa and I are going on vacation for a little bit, so starting this week and for the next four weeks, we’ll only be running a Monday-Wednesday-Friday holiday schedule. We’ll be back to five-times-a-week strips the week of August 12.
That’s not No Code in the sky. It’s Jessa’s home, the FLoating, Crazy Town. Sorry that’s not more clear.
Lisa and I know where they are, but I’m pretty sure No Code and Jessa don’t.
