Actually, the communist party began in the US in 1919. By the 1960’s, they were not doing a great job of “brainwashing” anybody.
Here is an excerpt of the Wikipedia entry on the Communist party in the US:
“The party attempted to recover with its opposition to the Vietnam War during the civil rights movement in the 1960s, but its continued uncritical support for an increasingly stultified and militaristic Soviet Union increasingly alienated them from the rest of left-wing America, which saw this supportive role as outdated and even dangerous. At the same time, the party’s aging membership demographics and noticeably hollow calls for “peaceful coexistence” failed to speak to a new Left in the United States."
We might also note that the question: “When the decline of America start?” has probably had an infinite number of answers, including every decade since 1770. As humans, we are constantly saying, as we get older, that things have gone to heck over our lifetime, and kids today are really bad, etc. etc. etc.

Mr. Trump’s brain is exceptional, and, exceptionally noisy.

This cartoon clearly does not meet that standard. By the way, that standard is copied off the blurb for Mr. Ramirez, which is just to the right of this set of comments on this cartoon. It is a quote by Mr. Ramirez. Why doesn’t he meet his own requirements?

    Completely wrong. Whatever happened to:

“Editorial cartoons should be smart and substantive, provocative and informative …” ???

Mr. Ramirez, you included the “provocative”. Whatever happened to the “smart”, the “substantive” and the “informative”?

Hyperbole, not reality. Mr. Summers may be channeling someone he knows.

I think your comments here are pretty much correct. So, when we get someone who says we’ve been taken back 80 years in ‘race relations’, by the first black President, it is outrageous.
At the same time, many people believe that we have a ways to go. You and I are in that group.
    Good for you.
At this point, I’d like to think that we are still making progress. But, just now, that is hard to see.

So, to look at Mr. McCoy’s question: “Which one does the President continually warn us not to rush to judgement about?”
If we take the question at face value, instead of the dogwhistle that it is, then the answer is:

Sue, FYI; The history of the North Korean nuclear arms program starts in 1956. Administrations over that time period:

So, how many Presidents have had a hand in dealing with this problem? It is more than Obama. He happens to be the latest. Who is next? Who would you like to have on the job in January?

Sue, you are probably right. So, here goes.
    Libsmasher’s post
-“Eight years of “community organizin’” by the Empty Suit have set race relations back eighty.”
    - Eighty years ago was ~1936.
    - In that time period, there were many lynchings of black people in the South. As well as other really despicable things. A soft term for this is night-riding, bringing to mind the nighttime activities of the KKK and other such groups.
-Eighty years ago, things were just God-awful if you were black and in the South. This is a well known fact.
-Compare this with LIbsmasher’s remarkably stupid statement that Obama has set back race relations 80 years.
    -Thus my question to him.

Mr. Locke: I agree with you. We have seen that those are three ways to get shot by police.
