    Yep, folks are so tired of Republicans that they control 30 states. Look at history. Not many times in the last 50 years has the same party been in the White House more than 8 years. A lot fewer times has the Presidents party done well in off year elections.

    The issue illustrated here is asset seizures by all levels of law enforcement. These started under Clinton and have accelerated since under Obama. It allows authorities to seize money and property without due process and use the asset to bolster their budget. It is totally unconstitutional but has been upheld by the supremes, which just goes to show there are no branches of government that give a hoot for basic economic rights.

    Unfortunately, the food stamps are held hostage by special interest agri-business. All the subsidies go to millionaire farmers who don’t need any help.
