Yes, nothing like making someone do something they hate to bond. I know this is a comic, but I will never, never understand why people do this. Why doesn’t she go with her sister?

Don’t leave things where puppies and untrained dogs can get them. You wouldn’t leave a toddler alone with run of the house—ditto for dogs.

Well, there’s the one on the microwave, the one on the stove, the ones in the vehicles, the alarm clocks. I wish they would just leave it one way or the other. My husband is definitely on goweeder’s side—actually he’s more against. The original purpose—to save electricity—has been proven to be absolutely wrong as it actually uses more energy—as people use that extra daylight to go somewhere or stay up later. As I said, pick one and stay with it and eliminate all the confusion.

I have always envied people who knew what they wanted to do—be a nurse, engineer, whatever. I’m 58 and I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be. I’m far more tired of the “clean up your room” scenario—just shut the door. If she wants to live that way, let her. Way too much time is spent on cleaning house.

There are still lots of mothers like this. Have you read about the woman who writes a blog about her Jewish mother? Her mother is constantly telling the writer that her eggs are getting old and that she wants grandchildren, and trying to set her up with nice Jewish doctors even though the writer is living with someone. Fortunately the writer takes it with a grain of salt but I don’t think the mother is kidding.

Poor Opal, all she has to is block that number. Or at the very least give it it’s own ringtone and then not answer.

Why should he pay her? Doesn’t the household money come from John? She doesn’t seem to have any trouble spending it. I would think it would mean more money for the family if she pitches in to help through this little glitch. She is willing to work for free for the library and yet her husband should pay her?

What if his mom doesn’t want to live with him in a granny flat? Did he ever stop and think about her feelings and desires?

Yes, the women in this strip are concerned about their husbands, because if they die the women won’t have anyone to yell at and complain about. Scratch that, they will continue to complain.
