I agree! I’d rather hear “Have a nice day” than “Happy Holidays”, even though “Merry Christmas” is my preference. Nothing wrong with a person from another religion responding with their preference.

Is Earl saying that eating her cooking without dessert is like serving a sentence?

Good idea! I know that whenever I’m in a large store, and looking for a restroom (if I don’t know already where they’re located) to walk around the exterior walls, until I find it.

But malls are trickier, so this sounds like a great idea, if it isn’t a spur-of-the-moment shopping trip.

Must have traveled quite a way…
My guess is that is supposed to be an ox with horns.

How about a dishtowel or some sort of cloth wrapped around for a diaper? After all, baby Jesus was wrapped in “swaddling cloths”.

Since she said WHAT she is, I doubt she’d use BETTY, as that is WHO she is. I’m guessing WOMAN or maybe MOTHER.

I hope I die before my husband too. Not so much due to the paperwork, but getting rid of all the junk he insisted on keeping.

My husband loves Au Gratin potatoes, and our kids call it “Ugh Rotten” too. Haven’t figured out why they don’t like it (especially one who loves a different cheesy potato casserole), but they don’t. And, yes. We made them try it when they were younger.

My Dad used to just trim the top off of one of the trees, to use as a Christmas tree. He left enough of the original tree so it would keep growing.
My favorite Christmas tree was the little potted one I bought, and then brought to my Dad at Christmas. I had a tree for a month, he planted it, and had it for the rest of his life.
Haven’t seen any of those for years, at least where I’ve been. It came already decorated with little bitty ornaments.
