    Ah, so Liberal leaning political cartoons don’t foment divisiveness through propaganda, use guilt by association to paint political opponents in a negative light or engage in over the top hyperbole?

    I find it fascinating how the Liberal dittoheads want you to accept an apology for a gaff as honest and heartfelt while at the same time demonizing their political opposition for similar gaffs and apologies. While at the same time glossing over the obvious hypocrisy.

    Fascinating . . . .

    @ Radish

    Comprehend much?

    I quoted a definition from a dictionary.

    @lonecat

    You did notice that the definition was from Merriam-Webster? Most would agree that the definition contained within a dictionary is pretty much the standard.

    @TrustedMechanic

    Just as amusing as always. I notice you’re still accusing the opposition of your same faults and failings, you really should do some inner reflection.

    @I Play One On TV

    Really? Let’s let Merriam and Webster help you out here.

    Socialism

    1 any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

    2a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property

    b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

    3 a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

    Your insurance analogy fails on all points of the standard definition.

    So, are you saying that Podesta didn’t make the comment?

    Are you saying that some of the policies he supports and promotes couldn’t be viewed as socialist in nature?

    You see, propaganda contains some truth and some lie. So please enlighten us, which part of this cartoon is a lie?

    The Obama administration, through the National Park Service, erected barricades in front of an open air, open access memorial. One that has no installed physical barrier to prevent access, so in fact they spent excess funds in the form of man hours and the barricades to do what?

    There was no valid reason to do what was done, other then pure pettiness, and you call yourselves the progressive party.

    You are truly a functional illiterate. The paper clearly supports what I put forth in my comments in the Wuerker cartoon, the warming over the last 16 years has been statistically insignificant and that the models are crap.

    Of course they go on and make a poor attempt at trying to support the hindcasting capability of the models, they seem to think that because it was in the ballpark from 1900 on, it’s a winner! From a geological time frame or shorter, they just fail.

    Sorry, when dealing in geological times frames, or even shorter ones, they fail miserably.

    Lost the argument? LOL, I reject your alternate reality.

    The peer reviewed papers, you choose top believe at least, are reviewed by the same cabal. When they are reviewed by other notable scientists in other disciplines, they are found wanting. Some of them actually are pulled back to address the valid criticisms leveled, but most times rather then address the valid criticism character assassination is used instead.

    Keep marching in that lockstep though, it’s the only thing you do well . . .

    Oops . . . .

    Calling ahab, calling ahab, your much vaunted and favorite rag is joining in on the reality, sorry you missed the bus.

    A government of imbeciles (a full complement of which the U.S government maintains at all times, in war and peace) works only when one imbecile has no greater voice than the another. It is on the basis of that assumption that the U.S. constitution was composed: to be imbecile-proof, especially in limiting the power, authority and unilateral actions of the imbecile at the top. If government were devoid of imbeciles, this story might be quite different; but here we enter into a world of fantasy and wild conjecture.
