Of course there are differences between Iraq & Korea; so what? Obama & crew should’ve found a way to convince them of the benefit of us staying, on our terms.
But hey, I hear the Coast Guard is all over this. They’re going to change the weather, and make all the terrorists rich so they too can spend their days playing golf. Oh, and they’ll love us, too.

I did have respect for him; he lost it, about the time he lost Iraq

Maliki didn’t get the air support he asked for

4300 young men & women in our military gave their lives to establish a democracy in Iraq … well for a few years anyway.
    .
This man POTUS right now is despicable. He lives in the past, apparently so stuck on the idea that we shouldn’t have gone into Iraq in the first place, THAT NOW, it was fine to just take them all out, come what may.
    .
There were people who thought we shouldn’t have gone into Korea, and now look what a great country So. Korea is. And no President has ever even dreamed of removing our military from there.
    .
If you voted for this man, how can you sleep at night? If you passed up the chance to vote for Romney, what do you say? Since we lost Iraq, after giving so many American lives, I not only lost respect for this Prez but only have disrespect for him.

In this case it had to do with getting approvals thru a bureaucracy – aka inefficiency of big govt. Also something may have hit the train, which would’ve distracted the engineer.
    .
So either the bureaucrats are to blame, or it was human error, brought on in part by whatever may have hit the train.
    .
That’s all we know NOW, except that Congress DID vote for the funding for something that may have helped save lives (see link), so don’t embarrass yourself.

Right, let it collapse from bureaucratic neglect instead, so the Dem’s can say they need to tax us some more.

Benson, I suggest Romans 12:3 – great advice – “I say … not to think more highly of himself than he ought to”. Islamic extremists are not going to be stopped by the pen.

Or instead of asking for more money for Congress to waste, we could turn the system on…

    .
And all the bureaucrats who kept it OFF all this time, are certainly going to get it turned on now. (If they don’t, it should prove that govt is hopelessly inefficient. But of course, no matter how well it would prove the point, lib’s would ignore it.)

For people who stay employed by doing favors with our money to garner more votes for themselves, it’s kinda lame to use this accident to ask for MORE MONEY, which by the way will not address THIS PROBLEM. Obviously now, everyone involved in this will now get the system turned on very quickly, while the money these Dem’s are asking us for now won’t be available for use for some time to come.

But as dead-fish Rahm Emanuel says, never let a crisis go to waste.
