We’ve been in Germany, Japan, N. Korea, etc. as a stabilizing influence. Now, we aren’t even helping NATO, our closest allies.
Get over Bush. I actually didn’t name him. Romney or even McCain would’ve done far better.
Here’s what really irritates me about Obama mis-handling Iraq: Whether we agree or disagree on Bush’s decision to liberate Iraq (and I’m sure we disagree about “liberate”), 4300 young soldiers gave their lives to set up a democracy. Maliki isn’t helping, but somebody could’ve shown him the way a LOT better. But now, it has opened the door for ISIS, and they’re demolishing everything those 4300 died for. Essentially, they died to liberate Iraq… for only a few years. This is a shame and an embarrassment to the US, specifically the current administration. Obama couldn’t even send some air support; who knows how many of the ISIS animals we could’ve cleared away.
We’re going to have to agree to disagree here. But history will be on my side. I just wish I could be here to see it.

Of those, the only thing he should’ve done was kill bin Laden, and even James Buchanan could’ve figured that one out. To get us out of 2 wars sounds good, but look at ISIS moving on now – that wouldn’t be happening with a better president in the White House.

I was in IT for 32 years. Some of this is pointless. Big picture: Emails aren’t on just one disk; they’re on servers. (That’s how the Internet works: anything sent is copied from one computer to another.)
Companies can’t survive if they don’t back up everything, including employees’ emails (whether the employees know or not). Why? All kinds of reasons, but the first that comes to mind would be if a sales rep sent a significant quote to a customer, but loses his/her PC later.
They’re required to do this. The company I retired from kept our emails in I think 3 different cities (at least 2), in case of disasters, all without us doing any more than simply typing and sending those emails. I’m pretty sure old, deleted emails have to be kept too.
I’m sure govt agencies have similar requirements, and I think I heard a mention of this. You need access to at least Lois’s PC, a couple servers, and btw, the PC’s she sent emails to. If anybody asked the techies at IRS about that, there’s no way they would NOT have warned them, this is a ridiculous lie to try to spread.
We’re being lied to, plain and simple.

…ironic… Yeah, that’s probably about the best explanation. But it wasn’t a very good example of irony, since most of us don’t QUICKLY associate the moon landings with the fringe who don’t think they even happened. Not a big deal tho.

If Jones kept up with news reports, he’d know Israel will spend it wisely, and their enemies don’t.
But of course, those news reports are on Fox News and everybody knows Fox News lies. and I think they speak in CODE also…

Hey, Idea! What about changing the law so more can come in legally? (as opposed to letting them stay after ILLEGALLY entering) Then we’ll be maintaining the rule of law and everything!
Oh Wait – the majority won’t let that pass.
ok, nevermind, let them break the law. Who cares about the rule of law anyway?

What’s with the possessive apostrophes? I presume they mean plural shatners, but I’m having trouble following this anyway…

The premise is wrong. The joke, the insult to our collective intelligence, is our reaction. We do not need Russia getting stronger while we putz around with simplistic sanctions. Kerry says this is a “wake-up call” for Putin – what an embarrassment! Does anybody think Putin is going to back down on annexing Ukraine? Does he CARE what the rest of the world is going to say? Obama talks about this as an international incident as if we’re barely going to be affected.
If Putin makes a move that does annex Ukraine, is Morin going to point out what a clever move he made?
