If you are ignorant about the political situation in Iraq, maybe you should refrain from judging a whole people as deserving of torture and oppression.

Your description of the killings in Iraq are as appropriate as saying that the Boston marathon attacks were about “Americans killing Americans”. Technically true, but so incomplete as to be wrong.

The instability in Iraq comes in a large part from other countries pouring in weapons, fighters, suicide bombers and missionaries for their respective causes.

It is very, very difficult to pass from dictatorship or civil war to democracy, it is quite a bit easier to keep a democracy established over many decades and this has nothing to do with the people being deserving or not.

People will pay you to say what they think other people need to here, though. (This includes insulting absent people or being paid by the boss of the audience.)

Mozart is a bad example. He earned a lot of money. And spent it. He had a “pauper burial” only because the emperor at the time legislated against “irrational” spending of resources on funerals.

The difference between the importance of traffic laws for cyclists and car drivers is the difference between being run over by a cat or a rhinoceros. (And if that principle means that tanks have to wait forever to get anywhere, I don’t really see the problem.)

“I don’t know what the term is in Austrian”

In the link it is “There’s a lot of – I don’t know what the term is in Austrian – wheeling and dealing,”

and yes, we do have special Austrian terms for wheeling and dealing.
