By myself in the snow as a kid, I would toss a football around, trying to catch it, usually such that I’d have to dive and slide around in the snow to do so, lol. But as I recall, Dean isn’t much into sports, so that suggestion may not work for him
Careful, you may never see a TV again if you try to use the vulgar play of that word with Mom!
Rob Paulsen would disagree with Dean, lol
Love the subtle shading in the inset, showing Joan reading under light, and Wally sleeping in relative darkness
Fluffy, sugary, splendid…
That’s funny, I woulda pegged Red as a Roy Rogers kinda guy
His hat is almost as big as he is!
To me, it seems to be a bit of one. The word “back” is unnecessary (apparently, called a pleonasm when that’s done). “I recall when Pastor Chuck donned that disguise!” It’s one of things that I certainly do, and most English speakers I know do, but also one of those things that I feel she’d be quick to point out
And yes, I realize I’m here at 3AM on Christmas Eve critiquing the speech of a cartoon strip character who is often critiquing speech herself, lol. Actually, it’s scary, she’s starting to rub off on me!
I don’t have a problem with it myself, but she is quick to point out what she sees as improper speech (I seem to recall at least once where she picked on a redundancy), so it would be surprising if that were her bubble, using one herself (which it seems to be, based on the flow of conversation between her and Marcy). Just having a little fun at her idiosyncrasy, lol
Wonderful! And while I’m of course glad Santa is careful not to step on R&R, he’d better be careful not to step on that chew toy either!
