Dinger: Are you ever going to explain why you called me a liar? Or are you just going to keep running away?
Pepper: Well, she has to be diplomatic. She shouldn’t just say “Axel is a creep”. Get Fay to come to that conclusion. Ask her what she sees in him. Point out other guys. Influence her to change her feelings about him without her knowing it.
Brain Salad Surgery: Luann would have kept saying nasty things about Tiffany if Dez didn’t tell her to knock it off. Tiffany’s helped out her “friends” for years, never expecting anything in return, but the harpies still just put her down, especially behind her back. Oh, and thanks for the internet insult. You’re very brave. You should be proud.
JellyBelly: And you’re a very funny man. Sarcasm – I get it.
He looks like a little hoodlum. We don’t know that much about him yet. Would you want your daughter going out with him?
Clark: #3. No it wasn’t that long ago. It was during the depressed Tiffany story.
Kenny: You can’t take Axel off the table. Her attraction to him is the reason for the problem. And if Axel is the type of guy she wants to be with, she definitely needs better guidance. Luann’s doing a lousy job.
Folks: In reading today’s post, most people think Luann is a genius and Fay’s mom is is the villain.
If Luann is so smart, why is she encouraging Fay to chase that creepy Axel? Why is she siding with Fay on this little hoodlum? Luann’s not the best person to give boyfriend advice. She went out with Quill for years (comic time) without really knowing him. She’s so jealous of Tiffany that she jokes about her pulling trains with the football team. I would have to say that Luann is the stupidest character in the strip.
During Theater Camp, there were five people attending – Prudence, Luann, Fay, Fay’s mom, and Axel. Fay’s mom knows about Axel. She saw what a jerk he was at the first meeting. She thought he was out of the picture when he stormed out. Now she finds out her daughter likes him. That’s quite a surprise to someone who thought things were going well for her daughter. We don’t know that much about Fay. Perhaps, Fay has been attracted to creeps before. Like I said yesterday – bad boys attract bad girls. Fay’s mom is just looking out for her daughter. Luann should be on the mother’s side, not against her. Luann should say to Fay, “Your mom’s right. Axel’s a creep. You could do a lot better”.
It was never promised. Besides, it wouldn’t pass the comic code.
