   Before 1948, Palestine (evolved from the word “Philistine”) has never been a “state” with recognized borders. It’s always been a region like the American Midwest or the Australian Outback. There was no “State of Palestine” before 1967 or the Oslo Accords in the 1990s. And don’t think the Palestinian people are innocent. Since 2006 the Palestinian people have consistently voted the PLO or Hamas into leadership, organizations whose sole purpose is the destruction of Israel. The citizenry calls their dead, “martyrs” which indicates support for Hamas. “The Palestinian people have been oppressed.” Wouldn’t you “oppress” a group of people who actively pursue your death, your family’s death, the obliteration of your homeland, have killed thousands of your people and refuse multiple peace offerings? We’ve probably all seen those “Neighbors from Hell” videos, but in this case, there are no police to come to the rescue. Hamas, (and Hezbollah) Iran’s proxies, won’t stop until Israel is eliminated. What would you do to stop the harassment of Israel since Hamas won’t negotiate peace? Self defense?
