   Having been around and working with such organizations dealing with homeless from which these statistics are culled… I have to call BS on the numbers.

   Most are very liberal and left leaning and do very little to verify someone claiming to be a Vet to be an actual vet or not. They do not bother to separate the wheat from the chaff.

   Are there a lot of homeless vets? Of course.

   Are most of the homeless that claim to be vets actually vets? No.

   While there are some, there are very few “beggers in the street” that are ACTUAL vets.

   The Homeless vet is real, but the vast majority are just stolen valor looking to play on your heart and purse strings.

   Mostly the “Homeless vet” is a hollywood stereotype.
