   You all are talking about his head in the bowl/water. When Snoopy lays down like that he is looking at the sky. Do you remember as a child laying down and dreaming while looking at the clouds? He relaxes after doing this! It isn’t the water on his head (unless he is extremely hot) but letting go of his problems and seeing something bigger.

   olfart – you must have been raised on a farm. My father and husband both seem to respond to this term. My dad is gone but my son (33) and I both laugh when my husband is in a hurry to get going on a project. We both know how to respond because we respect(ed) their efforts and intent.

   Arlo wasn’t near “Sandy”. He lives in Alabama! Temp today was 93 – low tonight is expected to be 75. Humidity about 85% – no rain today either!

   Strangest feeling we had – were exploring old cemeteries for family geneology. Late in the day, out in the country and this absolutely pure white cat shows up and starts stretching out on the headstones, moves to the granite slabs that cover the graves, follows us around. “Ghost cat”!

   Recently retired and missing people is how I see him. Can definitely freak you out but take time to figure him out. He wouldn’t have talked to her if he had bad intentions. He is standing in his own yard!

   When did this country get SOOOOO sensitive. Watch some of the “older movies” , note when they were made, and really see what I mean. Blazing Saddles, The Karate Kid (all of them), The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, The Red Skelton Show (TV), Carol Burnett Show (TV). Can’t say certain words because they offend someone (THEY ARE JUST WORDS), must not say anything bullying (THEY ARE JUST WORDS). “Sticks and stones can hurt me but words never will”. Anyone ever heard of this?

    I have nesting doves on my deck and patio from February through the early Fall. I have had to chase a well-fed cat away several times this year at night that has attacked the nest and mother bird on my deck (off the second floor of my house). It knocked the mother down one time and I picked the bird up and moved her (with the cat screaming at me for having its bird). I love animals but cat owners/lovers need to be as responsible with their pets as dog owners are expected to be. In other words, keep your animal out of my yard and off my property!
