I really like thre way that Goatsucker and Heckbender’s shapes are very similar in today’s strip. They almost look related.

How can you say that Rosemary doesn’t love anyone?! She loves HERSELF a great deal, apparently.

Maybe this can help explain it all… (or not.)

Close… Actually, Superman “reversed time” by flying really fast around the planet and reversing “the rotation of the Earth” and then returned time forward by flying the other way to reverse it again to make time go back forward by spinning the planet the other way… Umm… yeah… it doesn’t quite work that way. YOUR way actually makes more sense (from a movie plot perspective). I would go into further details on how actual time travel works, but I don’t have the time to right now. Or do I…?

& @Ryan (probably the older Ryan)

Regarding time travel and the planetary movement… Those calculations only come into effect when one breaks the gravitational force of the planet (or other heavenly body) that one is on. Unless, of course, you were talking about leaping out of time and back in again at a different point, in which case you are correct; but, that would be “time leaping” (or “time jumping” depending on regional terminology). True “time travel” is simply an accelerated movement forward or backwards through time. Therefore, if you are on Earth when you start your movement, Earth’s gravitational force would keep you on Earth until you stopped; unless of course you traveled to a point in time when the Earth didn’t/no longer exists, or you methodology created a force to rival that of the gravitational force already placed upon you. Which, of course, can be accomplished if you were in a space vehicular model; but at that point, those calculations should already be configured in to avoid interstellar collisions, and you would also already be prepared for the “vacuum of space”.

Traveling forward in time IS possible. I do it every day.

It is very simple what he was trying to say to you. Since he was probably not trained in sign language, he was using symbolic language, which much more accepted and easily understood by lesser primates. Here is the translation: Peeing on you literally means, “Piss on you.” While the destruction of the eraser means “That was not a mistake. I am not sorry; nor, will I apologize.”

Yeah, my guess is that you did something that really upset him.

Here it is how to correct it: 1) Show up whith your lunch at his feeding time. 2) Dump your drink over your head and then hit yourself in the head with the bottle/cup. Translation: "I was mistaken and a fool.”3) Give all of your food that you’ve brought to him. Translation: “While I am not worthy, please accept my apology.”4) Groom him for bugs. Translation: “You are important to me and I value our friendship.”

That should typically fix things. If not, he may just be a jerk. In such a case, I’d suggest peeing on him in return and then throwing your feces at him; which means, “Piss on you! You are full of ‘poop’.”

Okay, then… I hope that helps. Good luck with your simian friend.

I agree that Baba is one of the most powerful of the Takers that we have seen, the Jones brothers being a possible exception. Jamie is said to have “mastered the water” and controls a crew of the undead, which he apparently gave the choice of a “Wat’ry grave or be his slave, and sail these lakes undying.” That suggests that he may also have powers over life and death, or at the very least the undead (given the looks of the crew). Davy would clearly control more power than Jamie; otherwise, Jamie would have taken over the seas that he covets rather than merely ruling the Great Lakes. Now here is where the aylosium comes in. Baba did give her tooth, which was made of aylosium; but also indicates that her mortar is also made of aylosium (and possibly her pestle, as well). In LSOS’s December 28, 2012, Baba says that she will give Margo Aylosium and Margo then looks to Baba’s mortar, to which Baba responds, “Not mortar, fool! Mortar is mine!” Of course, Baba would not want to give up such a large power source given the current turn of events. Regarding Jamie and Davy, my thoughts are as follows: 1) We never see Davy or his aylosium. 2) While we know of Jamie’s aylosium key, we do not know of any other aylosium artifacts that he may have. If aylosium does give the takers power when they hold it, as Baba states to Margo, then it would be unlikely that Jamie Jones would let the key out of his sight, unless he had other more powerful aylosium artifacts. These larger and/or more numerous items may be the source of their increased power in their now “solid” form.
