Ah, another Doxie mom! Must have been at my house for inspiration.

Thank you for this strip. Yes awareness needs to be made. I’d like to state first that I abhor the idea of puppy mills. However, I’d like to point out that this is a problem of our creation out of a desire for pure breed dogs. If people stopped buying pure breeds or be more selective in where they get their dogs from, this would stop. I rraise mini dachshunds but one litter at a time and they are my kids until they find homes. Here’s some pointers:DO NOT buy dogs from a pet shop but many do offer reputable breeders infoGo to the home/site where the breeder/puppies are and see how they are bred. If the owners refuse a site tour. Leave.Spay/neuter!Best of all: adopt. Many shelters have pure breed dogs as well.

While I have pure breed dachshunds, many of them are rescues and I have two other mixed breed rescues.

Hmmm. Maybe this is why he has no girlfriends. Just a thought.

Amen to the other previous comments. This is by far the best one I have seen in a while. Well done.

Reminds me of the first time I watched the Howling. My collie was sleeping on the porch just below the picture window and started to howl at the first really scarey scene. My sis and I ran all the way to our patents bedroom screaming, Werewolf!

What’s really funny is when you have this ki9nd of competition between a collie and dachshund…you can’t help but laugh when you see the doxie try to aim as high!

He’s got nothing on dachshunds. LOL Just when I think the coast is clear to sneak a morsel out of the fridge, I close the door to find I have a major audience waiting for handouts. I live on 40 acre farm and would swear they could hear a cheese wrapper from the back acres.

If his dog is like mine, they try to jump in your lap while you are doing your business. Guess they figure you’re going to be there a while, might as well pet them. LOL
