The really big news out of Vermont: IBM has left the state, after 57 yrs. IBM has turned it’s Essex Junction chip making facility over to Global Foundries, a company that makes chips for computers, cell phones, you name it. The best part is that from what I understand no one is loosing their job in all this.
FYI: Essex Junction is part of the Greater Burlington aria.
There is another plant in Fish kill, NY that is part of this deal.

OK, y’all have a real good day, hear.

Well waiting for the storm, rain most of the week, but the weekend is suppose to be dry. Yes Auther, when I first looked at the thermometer it read 34, a little nippy.

Jan, in response to your question, I believe that Gene Autry went into the service in WWII. The name of Hedy Lamarr comes to mind, although she was not in the service, she was an inventor a genius in fact. One of her inventions she came up with for the military in WWII is now the basses for such things as cell phone communication. She was very beautiful, and very smart.

I’d have to say there were at lest three discoveries of America, the last being Columbus, the Norse are believed to have been in Newfoundland before Columbus, and when the ancestors of the First Americans came from Asia.
