   While that may be her intention, the fact is Lupin is the only "good’ werewolf in her series. The rest of the werewolves are going out deliberately trying to make other werewolves by biting them, and they side with Voldemort in the final battle. She might as well be saying gay men deliberately infect others with HIV. Stop trying to downplay Rowling’s shittiness, and do some freaking research. She has supported people who try to make trans and queer people second-class citizens through lawmaking.

   Lot of straight white people responding here. Rowling attacks trans people regularly. Second, it’s not her only problematic stance. Think of her “the werewolves are AIDS” in conjunction with Fenrick saying “Bite them young and get them to hate everyone,” or making the only Oriental character Cho Chang (one name is Korean, the other Chinese), or the appearance of the goblins being every stereotype of Jewish people and the goblins are obsessed with money. There’s a lot of reasons for Rowling being a terrible person.
