    To those of you who are worried, please, either get a sense of humor or go read old “Nancy” strips!

    @AKHenderson

    The reason for the new laws is because of the large undocumented population? We had that in 2000, 2004 and 2008. Why weren’t the republicans pushing for this reform then? And as you can see from the numbers in the strip, that kind of election fraud is virtually nonexistent.

    Try again. Keep trying to think up reasons for these new laws in an election year when they are clearly illegal, other than that they will disenfranchise many poor voters who just happen to be democrats.

    I’m afraid this is an inept comparison at best, even if you are a Democrat. To stuff ballot boxes to win is certainly both illegal and immoral, and both parties have been guilty of it.

    However, to deliberately disenfranchise a legal voter, particularly a minority voter who’s voting rights have been violated or outright denied for years, is orders of magnitude more heinous.

    Keep in mind, folks, that if you’re a Republican, you’re made up numbers are just as valid as real numbers!

    Actually, the guy who invented card counting in Blackjack had a pretty good system, and the casinos still send card counters packing. Occasionally, there is a system that works.

    Yes, men don’t want to know. That’s why a man, GT (he is a man, isn’t he?) is writing this series on this issue when he could be doing any number of other issues, most less controversial than this one, and other men, like myself, are reading and commenting.

    I’m glad that the percentage of women like yourself, who think all men condone sexual harassment, are in a small minority, just like the percentage of men who condone sexual harassment.

    @gmartin“No amount of arguing is going to change anybody’s mind on it.”

    Not true. Ten years ago, the majority of Americans were prejudiced against gays. Today, clearly you are in a minority. Fifty years ago, the majority were racist, also not the case today. It’s exposure to the people we hate, showing that they are mostly, just like us, that eventually breaks down the racial, ethnic and gender orientation barriers that cause prejudice and hatred. You may choose not to be influenced by this exposure, but many are. Some people are open-minded, some of you are not.

    I’m reading this just fine using FF on Win2000.

    Do like my oldest son did to evade my ex’s wedding from hell, have the wedding in Costa Rica! It was a beautiful wedding perfectly suited to my son and daughter-in-law. Then of course they fought like hell to avoid the reception from hell back here in Denver. But at least the wedding was exactly what they wanted.

    @dook

    I agree. All the women I know just get pregnant, have an abortion, get pregnant, have an abortion…

    I guess that’s just what happens when you allow women control over their bodies, they just have abortions all over the place.

    Oops! I just checked. Much to my surprise, there have been less abortions during times when abortions are legal and when sex education was allowed and contraception was encouraged than when abstention was the order of the day. Go figure.
