   How does a different time zone work in this instance? By the time zone of this strip, it’s 8:12 AM. As Urbane Gorilla pointed out, that’s AWFULLY late for a newspaper delivery, most working people are already gone for the day.

   I have never understood why any comment on spelling is met with such anger. How is it more judgmental to publicly wish something would be spelled correctly than to call someone else’s comment “abhorrent” — ? Judgmental at the highest level, indeed!

   I keep hoping that “lightning” will be spelled correctly, and I know it’s a picky thing but it bugs me! And I love this strip, love the artwork, love the humor, love the storylines. “Lightening” is what you do to something you bleach, “lightning” is what hit our dear Jane. I KNOW, I KNOW.

   Here in Texas, “cavalry” is deliberately mispronounced “calvary” — I really don’t know why, it’s kind of an in-joke or something.
