I find this comment in conflict with very old evidence. You say “Carbon dioxide has no significant greenhouse effect above 80 ppm” yet the greenhouse effect was first proven in the 1850s, twice in succession, by two independent scientists, one male and one female. Thoughts?
My driveway is very long. I periodically consider some sort of buried vacuum tube system. It would be an engineering feat to eliminate the need for our postie to manually load a pod, but it sure would be way cool. I’ll get an idea someday :-)
And perhaps not so surprisingly, most of the folks I’ve known who have carried on such experimentation far longer than that were throttled/stifled somehow as younger folks.
I would worry about anyone who didn’t. The trouble comes with what comes after: throttling/policing/installing shame,guilt,similar/attempting control of behavior, or having an enlightened/enlightening/intimate conversation instead. I think the former smacks of fear and laziness. I’m grateful every day that, while my younger years were certainly laced with dysfunction, closed/narrow/group-mindedness wasn’t one of them. This has and continues to save my sanity, creativity, potential, usefulness, and even my very life <3
And too bad many folks may consider this a badge of honor rather than consider this knowing different kinds of folks with different mindsets and perhaps even with morals that don’t need policing.
Well said, thank you <3
