Spent a lot of time in my Grandmas house growing up. She never got an “indoor toilet” until the late 50’s , early 60’s!

Grandma told me once the the only difference between a country farmer and a country gentleman was that the country gentleman had the canopy over the bed whild the country farmer had the can of pee under the bed!

This was one of the most famous songs from WWII. It was meant to help people keep their chins up and hope for the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtfpX0uMspQ

These are reprints from 1978 and 1979…….my complaint is that the writing is so small, I can’t read it! For a while they printed this comic larger and that was great…but now they’ve shrunk it down to “imposible to read” size again…I give up!

If you’re the reading type, the series of books by Charlaine Harris..the same books True Blood was based on..although they changed the stories quite a bit and left out some characters. One such character was “Bubba” who was, apparently, “turned” by a technician (who was a big fan) in the morgue when his body was brought in….unfortunately..the change to vampire left “Bubba” a little light in the brain box..but sweet!

Lots of funny situations throughout the series because “Bubba” (everyone is ALWAYS cautioned to never use his “other name” as it gets him “real upset!”!

Drove school bus for 5 years, but remember the DMV guy who gave me the road test for driving the bus…he came up the steps into the bus shaking his head side to side….I asked him if I had done something wrong already. He said “No, I just always have to wonder about the sanity of someone willing to turn their back on 72 kids at a time.”

I used to absolutely love Ripple! It was a pear based wine while most of the others were grape and apple based.

It make me think of the amythyst mines! Always wanted to go explore them! Oh..and it reminds me of Laurie Bembenek! Remember “Run, Bambi, Run!”
