Mercury has a sidereal (with respect to the stars) orbital period of 87.9691 (Earth) days. It has a sidereal rotation period of 58.646 days. In other words, It’s tide locked, but it makes 3 rotations for every 2 orbits. (Wikipedia.) Some additional funkiness is due to it having a highly elliptical orbit.
Mercury was once thought to have a 1:1 orbital resonance, but that turned out to be incorrect.
To go from 0 to 60 in 1 second would require (if constant) an acceleration of 2.74g. The car would have rocket thrusters. (I’m not deducing that. Tesla has stated it.) Not sure what the department of transportation would think of that.
Maybe they’d make it look like the 60s TV Batmobile.
But some drugs in the US can vary in price enormously, depending on where you buy them from. I used to buy diclofenac eye drops for my dog. (That’s a common NSAID. An OTC version is Voltaren.) The Costco pharmacy charged roughly 4x what CVS did. (The opposite of what I expected.)
If that sort of chaos existed in the food market, I think people would notice.
In my family, in the past, it was considered necessary to remove footwear before entering the house.
But the footwear were boots, and the people were dairy farmers.
