    We’ve done this to ourselves. We have put the election and democratic processes up for sale. These are the rewards.

    Anyone with money and charisma can run, and sometimes they get elected.

    Surely by now even leftists can see that Bush, the Harvard MBA, jet pilot, baseball club president, and two-term governor of a prosperous state, was a reasonably competent manager compared to the community organizer whose only real credential is that he had two autobiographies.

    George W. Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, Barack H. Obama, and Hillary R* Clinton all fit the bill nicely (albeit with a little more qualification with the first two). The publicity agents have taken over the republic.

    *Side note wish I could type the R backwards.

    GWB

    Low C in Harvard. Got in on his name only. Proud of his mediocrity.
    Got into the National Guard pilot training. Flunked out and busted down.
    Baseball team. Lost money even after Daddy gave it to him. Got one of his friends to bail our his son.
    That is a poor resume.

    @Night-Gaunt49

    Night said, “Low C in Harvard. Got in on his name only. Proud of his mediocrity”.——The facts, Bush had better grades than John Kerry when they both attended Yale. The left touts Kerry as an intellectual.
    Night said, “Got into the National Guard pilot training. Flunked out and busted down”.—- The facts, Bush did not flunk out or get busted. He flew continually until the Guard upgrade to F4’s. Since Bush was not planning on staying in they did not send him to the training to switch to the new plane. Plus it is offensive the way you refer to the National Guard as if it is something to be ashamed of. Ask any pilot who served in the Guard if they joined the Guard to avoid having to fight. In fact Bush volunteered several times to go to Vietnam and was turned down because the Guard only deploys as a whole unit.
    Night Said, “Baseball team. Lost money even after Daddy gave it to him. Got one of his friends to bail our his son”. --Fact is that Bush and his partners bought the Rangers for 75 million and when they sold it the value was 450 million. I would love to lose money like that.
    Night said, “That is a poor resume.”—-Fact is compared to community organizer, it is a very good resume.

    The country will continue its death spiral as long as the voters remain gullible, naive fools.

    Sign of a true liberal, never let the facts get in your way. Bush’s group didn’t buy the Rangers until April 89. The didn’t start running them till the off season, by which time sosa had already been traded.

    I’ve found that,other than age and residency requirements,there are really no hard (or soft) educational or occupational requirements to run for any political office. Anywhere.
