Yes, Mayor Doomberg lost the soda pop war. The courts said, no, you can’t ban drinks larger than 16 oz. As if that’s something anyone in their right minds thinks a government should be able to do, or even consider, in a “free” country.

However, for now salt is still banned in restaurants even though a new CDC study finds most people don’t get enough salt and that salt won’t hurt you. No reason to avoid salt anymore people! This is one of the many examples as to why government shouldn’t legislate based on some study or another, frequently studies are done by people with an agenda and it’s bad, or incomplete science. To start basing laws on these junk science studies in insane.
Remember when trans fats were wonderful because they didn’t have any cholesterol in them? I do. Now trans fats are the enemy. (And also banned in NY) By the way cholesterol just means animal fat. Last I checked no one has proven eating cholesterol causes heart disease either. It’s a logical assumption based on people having high cholesterol being more likely to have heart disease, but your liver makes cholesterol. You need some to live. Some people’s liver produces too much.

@PastStepOne case in point, heart disease wasn’t a major problem until about 100 years ago, about when the US government started pushing the low fat, high carb diets, and “healthier” fats such as Crisco (originally invented as a substitute for wax for making candles) rather than “unhealthy” lard.
