Torture is not about truth or justice or the American way it is about getting what you want like any inquisitor wanting a declaration from their victim.

Balony, our guys knew how to ask question to get information that was needed. And it saved a lot of American lives. It you don’t like that well to bad. Also despite the fact that you claim it caused deaths no one ever died from water boarding. We do it to our pilots during escape and evasion training. Talk to the parents of the kids that got killed and maimed in Boston and ask them if they have a problem water boarding terrorist. Plus you leave out one important fact. You don’t want to get water boarded? Dont become a terrorist.

Torture is more than water boarding. Much more and people died under “harsh interrogation.” And it has been illegal at least since the Spanish-American war. At least one officer was put to death for being found guilty of it.

Regular interviews got the information by making them comfortable not frightening them.
