    All political parties are non-profits, so targetting Tea Party contributors was obviously politically motivated.

    Dear NightGaunt, think you are confusing 501c(3) and 501c(4). 4s can engage in limited political activities, but 3s – such as ProPublica – cannot.

    Back in 1959 the IRS changed one word, exclusively to primarily, and let open the door to this kind of problem.
