A small town in the American Southwest... everything in the desert is designed to prick you, wound you or eat you. What better metaphor for 21st century Earth? Prickly City is a comic strip about the friendship between Winslow, a coyote pup, and Carmen, a straight and narrow kind of kid. Prickly City offers a conservative perspective on political and social events within an ongoing storyline. As Carmen might say, "We may not be correct but we will always be right."
Their high jinks provide endless laughs as Winslow gets into trouble and Carmen follows. Join Carmen and Winslow for their adventures in the desert!

The price you pay for electing socialists is your freedom, and your life.

I recall that quote about people sleeping soundly at night because certain men are willing to commit violence on their behalf is attributed to George Orwell. I have googled it and find that either it’s a distortion of something that he wrote or he didn’t write or say it at all. But anyways. the whole purpose of the drone strikes is to prevent a lengthy trial or indefinite detention, since no administration has been able to draft ways to succesfully prosecute certain types of terrorists.

A huge majority of us will agree on use of drones on foreign soil against non-Americans. It is the domestic use, and secondarily use against Americans, that stirs the controversy.
From the Southern perspective, that was the reason the Civil War was fought – because American troops were used against states that elected to secede from the American experiment. The pact of election suddenly transformed into a contract of adhesion. Reasonable people can disagree, and unreasonable ones compel others to bow to their decisions.

Sure the price we pay to defend our Republic is to act like a murderous empire. Tell me what is wrong with this picture?

@bpullin
What Socialists? Both parties have them and they are Capitalist Conservatives who love war.

Just be prepared for foreign drones in our airspace metering out the same kind of “justice.”

An important issue….a touch overdone by the cartoonist, however.

The difference is that we can prevent it. Because of our form of goverment has allowed us to excell why others have stifled their people.
But yet you think we have it wrong.

@fbjsr
So you are saying that the USA is the most advanced on earth? That is a mistake. And remote controlled drones is an old technology going back to Dr. Nicola Tesla.

@Night-Gaunt49
Yes, we are the most advanced in the world, on the whole. Sure the South Koreans have more cell phones, and the Swedes have better Internet, but considering that we’re a country who largely lags in terms of academic achievement and yet leads the world in R&D spending, pharmaceuticals, technology, and finance, we must be doing something right.

Nothing at all cute about that bunny wabbit. All of the sudden I’m craving rabbit stew for lunch.
