A small town in the American Southwest... everything in the desert is designed to prick you, wound you or eat you. What better metaphor for 21st century Earth? Prickly City is a comic strip about the friendship between Winslow, a coyote pup, and Carmen, a straight and narrow kind of kid. Prickly City offers a conservative perspective on political and social events within an ongoing storyline. As Carmen might say, "We may not be correct but we will always be right."
Their high jinks provide endless laughs as Winslow gets into trouble and Carmen follows. Join Carmen and Winslow for their adventures in the desert!

The way things are going, it sounds like a pretty sure bet. The only real bet is on when.

Now this is funny and accurate. What an embarrassment that was.

“Roberts is a Bush appointee. He wouldn’t know anything about the Constitution!”
I work for lawyers, most of whom are liberal Democrats. When Roberts was appointed, the general consensus was that he was actually a very good choice. Yeah, he’s more conservative than otherwise, but he’s a very sound jurist.

Except for bailing on the Constitution when he had a chance to torpedo Obamacare, he’s been an excellent jurist. This is a reference to Roberts flubbing the oath of office that Barry knew he would never keep anyway at the first inaugural. For tomorrow they’ve already exchanged cards with the oath on it so both of them know what’s coming. Doesn’t matter: Barry won’t uphold it any better the second time than he did the first time.

@K M
Obamacare which came from Republicans, was endorsed by Republicans (especially the mandate to join) then Pres. Obama being that other Republican endorsed it. So the Republicans following their anti Democrat anything went against their own idea.

It was a bad idea in 1993, and was a bad idea in 2010. I don’t care who proposed it in 1993 or 2010. Anyway, the Democrats had a majority in the House and 60 votes in the Senate in 2010. They could have passed whatever they wanted, and they chose this. This is on them.

So if Roberts votes to uphold DOMA, does that count as screwing up? After all, he did say that Congress has an almost unlimited ability to tax. At the end of the day, one of the key provisions of DOMA is to shield same-sex couples from the marriage penalty that significantly increases the tax bills of upper income married couples.
