A small town in the American Southwest... everything in the desert is designed to prick you, wound you or eat you. What better metaphor for 21st century Earth? Prickly City is a comic strip about the friendship between Winslow, a coyote pup, and Carmen, a straight and narrow kind of kid. Prickly City offers a conservative perspective on political and social events within an ongoing storyline. As Carmen might say, "We may not be correct but we will always be right."
Their high jinks provide endless laughs as Winslow gets into trouble and Carmen follows. Join Carmen and Winslow for their adventures in the desert!

And that sir would be an accurate statement.

It would be cold without our major source of energy.
Sun worship makes sense.

@Paul Smith
Actually, the correct statement is that we have global warming because the sun looks like that.
Night-Gaunt49 said, 8 months ago
Yet that statement doesn’t fit the available evidence. The warming is in the lower atmosphere, not the higher so it isn’t the sun.

@uh-oh
Without CO2 the earth would be far colder than it is right now.

@Paul Smith
only if you mean that the sun IS the cause of gobal warming
swr said, 8 months ago
And with out high CO2 we would have less plant growth and more starving people around the world.

@swr
Global warming and global cooling, yes. Man does not put out enough stuff to affect things globally. Locally, yes, but not on a global scale. First we are told that we are insignificant as a species, then we, in the same breath, are told that we affect global temperatures. Oh what an arrogant species we are.

One day…many years from now….our era is going to be damned for the stupidity, cheap politics and shortsightedness as we watched our climate tank.
Hopefully, on the other hand, there will be a point years from now that humans will still be around and able to look back….

Hey Scott (as if he actually reads these)! Have you ever thought about taking the strip in a direction other than politics? Carmen and Winslow are just such cute characters. You could mechandise the @#% out of them. Dolls, games, sheets, “underwear that’s fun to wear” A major cartoon movie. The possibilities are endless. Think about it Scott. You could be richer than Willard by this time next year Change the direction.

@Paul Smith
A statement I think even Carmen could agree with…unless, of course, she’s been trying to convince Winslow of that since the strip started.

Who on earth is being arrogant trumpeting the mindless alterations caused by human activity? Tell me are the termites arrogant in the damage they do when they live? We are th termites and the house is our earth.

@Night-Gaunt49
Ah, yes. Humans are SOOOOOOO powerful, and, therefore, YOU are so powerful! By blaming the OTHER humans for climate change, you prove how superior you are to the rest of us. It’s a tough job, but…………..
