Teenage fantasies are great because they’re safe. If Saolotonga there actually started making moves on her, she’d bolt like a frightened rabbit. I’m thinking of that great scene in “Father Goose”…

I was 17, in the church choir, watching the teenage girls in their tight skirts kneeling before the altar as we sang “Ponder nothing earthly-minded”.

“Fallen nature”: This is the basis of all that is evil about Christianity, that all humans are bad by nature.

Oh, she is imagining Heaven right now.

True as far as it goes, but that only touches on ethics. The falsehood goes down to the roots of Platonic philosophy, with a metaphysics based on two realities and an epistemology based on faith. Give me Aristotle: one reality (this), and reason as our only way to know it.

Wouldn’t this strip have been funnier if it was Jesus waiting hand-and-foot on Jeri?
After all, isn’t she superior to God (in her own mind)???

I would be really creeped out if someone started smiling big with her eyes closed looking upward as if she were having some kind of spiritual reaction.

Why is there no Catma?

@Chris Maple
No exactly. Free choice gives them the opportunity to be bad, or good. I would say that humans are basically good, if anything, else why are all those people dramatizing guilt living on the street?

Dogma chased her out – just before Dogma got run over by my Karma!
Woof, woof…oops!
