   Manners are non-exsistant today! I was brought up to be polite! I hold a door open for almost everyone! I’m 51, and still waiting for someone to hold a door open for me!

    Even a bad example serves a purpose. Perhaps she is teaching why bad manners are so annoying.

    I’ll send my 13 year old your way, he’s been taught to be a gentleman. Actually, there are a lot of them around here. Went to Taco Bell the other day with both my husband & son. There was an employee outside at his car, he saw us pull up & quickly got to the door (our car was much closer than his) & held it open for us. I don’t think that was in his job description.

    That’s a very good point. Kids tend to learn more from example than from lectures. If they are put out by this woman’s behavior they might be less likely to act that way to others.
