Radiator? They still have those things? Last time I’ve seen a place with radiators was back in 1975.

Eww what a mess. I’d have rather had the Hershey bars than hot chocolate anyway.

I guess as long as it is still working they keep it. Haven’t seen one since the 1960’s in elementary.

50 years ago, when the price of candy bars in movie theatres wasn’t outrageous, I’d buy 2 and put them in my pocket. After a half hour or so, they’d be soft enough to squeeze them out of the wrapper into my mouth.
Milky Ways are also delicious frozen.

Had them in the 1930s dorm rooms where I lived 1979-81. Made the room mighty hot and dry.
I also remember a Family Affair episode in which Mr. French and the twins were snowbound in a cabin; French made hot chocolate on the woodstove from Buffy’s candy bar (Jody had already eaten his) and melted snow.

To make six cups of candy bar hot chocolate: (NO SUBSTITUTIONS!)
One quart of homogenized milk
one cup of whipping cream
One 8 ounce Symphony Bar (Plain milk or dark chocolate.)
one tablespoon of cane or washed (raw) sugar
two shakes of salt
Put the first five ingredients into a sauce pan and slowly heat to 85° C. (185° F.) Then add when the chocolate has melted:
One Stick Unsalted Butter
one teaspoon good quality vanilla. (NOT the dollar store stuff.)
Drink while warm, and pur-r-r-r-r-r like a cat.
If you are going to enjoy chocolate bars in hot chocolate, go decadent ALL the way.
