    Obviously, Mr. Numbnuts doesn’t appreciate Teena’s flair for fiction. I thought it original and quite imaginative.

    Jeez, I’m glad I’m not like Stick. I like peanuts, trees, grass, yogurt & cheese & icecream, and cats. As for corn, it’s all GMO corn now so I don’t eat that.

    Actually, Mr. Smarter-than-the-smart-alec-kids has clearly been around the classroom a few times and knows his business. Teena got what she asked for, but I expect she’s smart enough to learn from it.

    You might as well, most of our foods in the US are processed using some sort of sweetener, usually High Fructose Corn Syrup, so you are getting the corn, and it is probably GMO. Although the final readings are not in, and probably never will be, IMO, (which is unscientific, and an “opinion”) we have been eating “modified” foods for most of our homo sapian lifetime. Now we just complain about it. I’m pretty sure that those who are hungry could give a rat’s where the meal came from. As for the HFCS, been eating that most of my 62 years with my corn flakes. And everyone’s objection is…?

    Teena may be chastened now but no worries. she was just having a bit of sport. Poor Sabra, one of those with an acute allergic reaction to our environment. Allergies is the body’s own immune system turning against its own body. Not as bad as the ‘bubble boy’ syndrome where there is no immunity at all. But close. She was exaggerating about the air——it is what is in the air she probably will be allergic to.
