How about an over-exposed reality star?

How about the irresponsible 99%er who wants everybody else to pay for their profligate ways.

How about the irresponsible 1%er who demands that everyone else pay for their profligate ways – and then buys a politician to make it the law.

… and thinks they’re entitled to it all, because they’re in such a grand position thanks to their ill-gotten gains.

The only ones who are irresponsible are those who would rather protest than work, even though they can’t say exactly what they’re protesting except it’s something they want but don’t have. It’s nothing but pure jealousy. As with all things. the cream always flows to the top.

NO politics here unless given in the strip. None given then none taken. Then you are trolls. Please come back and delete all you political crap in a place it doesn’t belong.
Rhetoric was an important past time for ancient Greek intellectuals. It allowed one to show their knowledge of the topic and how persuasive they could be.

In the 99% / 1% debate: I think if everyone were given an equal share of the world’s money and resources, in a few year’s time each person would be back at the same percentile he/she is at right now. People who have a ‘loser’ mentality will always be losers and people who have a ‘winner’ mentality will always succeed. For what it’s worth, that’s what I think.

You nailed it, toonmaster. After the Bolshevik Revolution, the leaders (the new 1%) rose to the top, and the 99% were still in poverty.

Gmartin…you bleat a lot for a guy who doesn’t seem to know much, nor have much compassion either…I’ll bet you think you’re a conservative…

The difference being that while I don’t know Gmartin’s background, I DO know my own, both educational and experiential, and can therefore say that he has a valid but somewhat left-leaning point. I disagree with his theory about the Marxist/Communist leaders being 1-percenters, but that’s just my capitalist leanings speaking.
However, as Night-Gaunt said, this IS supposedly a non-political comic strip, so let us not throw rocks at each other. Bottom-line is that toonmaster IS right that those who are willing to dig in and TRY will always rise, sooner or later, unless the power structure is totally built to prevent that. And in any kind of representative government, be it full democracy or federalist, republicanistic government such as we have in the USA, (this is not a true democracy, folks), you CAN rise to the top.
