Teena is more thoroughly immersed in a fantasy world than is Calvin.
My mother, aunts, and uncles lived in a hamlet in Kansas too small to support a movie theater or a restaurant (cafes, yes). The big weekend social occasion was: “Hey, wanna go out to the dump and shoot rats?”

A good cartoon for Labor Day Weekend just before school starts, like rubbing salt into the wond.

I guess they’re about 3 months behind us with this strip. It is funny for all the rest of the comics to be about Labour day and starting school tomorrow and this one is the first day of summer vacation.

Even with enlargement, I still can’t see the print on the Sunday strip. It’s better during the week.

I agree. PreTeena’s Sundays strips (which for some reason come on Mondays, grrr…) are very hard to read.
And I also have to complain again about the timing. Why have this strip, which belongs in June, in the beginning of September?

For those who are wondering about the timing of this comic, these are reruns from about 10 years ago. The cartoonist stopped making PreTeena a year or so ago. When they GoComics started the re-runs, they didn’t worry about syncing them up with the right day of the week or time of the year.
