I see the other dog is not allowed to eat at the table.
    .
Why do I get the impression that this is not going to turn out the way they expected? Is it a clown farm? A cult induction centre? The Twilight Zone?

Poncho needs to be outside frolicking in the barn yard chasseing , barking at the cows, pigs and taking the tractor for a ride. That’s what I expected, Incidentally: The farmers daughter name was Baby.not Betty-Sue

No but they communicate in other ways and make more sense than politicians. (That’s not a signal for others to start talking about politics).

Does that mean that this strip or the farm has been seen before?

Agreed, this is about fantasy, not reality. I guess @leopoldenoch doesn’t like Alice in Wonderland, either.

Is this based on some story? If it’s a horrow type movie- I don’t watchh them. I get nighmares if I do, so I’d need a clue.

Do the opposite of grow up. Go back to your childhood where everything spoke. And if you don’t like it, don’t read it. But use your imagination!
