WOULDN’T POOCH BE BETTER OFF WITH PLANKIE AS A GUN, INSTEAD OF A STICK ?

Don’t the guys make the cutest little soldiers? Poo Poo, however, is not the one I’d want covering my back. Next time the cafe could cater some K rations. Wonder when Droolia will appear in uniform. The squirrels will head for the highest trees. All she has to do is lift her arms and ……………. Phew Unfortunately that event will also cause the guys to high tail it too.

Nothing’s more important than din dins. I wonder if Poo Poo eats off of a china plate.

When little poo-poo ran off, no longer able to handle the rigors of war, the theme song from Combat came to mind.
I
am
STOKED!

Are these quotes paraphrased from a book? Or is Paul poetic?

Apocalypse Now; Willard (Martin Sheen): Every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around the walls moved in a little tighter.

“Squirrels don’t surf!”
They DO water-ski, though…

To add to Dottie’s citation, the source dialogue for the first panel is “Saigon… Craaaaap.”
(Or something like that.)

JUST ATTACK!!!!!!!!
DottieDog said, 3 months ago
fritzoid, you’re right, the first panel is the opening line paraphased enough that I didn’t recognize it right away:
Saigon… s**t; I’m still only in Saigon… Every time I think I’m gonna wake up back in the jungle.

When I was in the squirrel park, all I could think about was getting back to my doggie bed. And when I was in my doggie bed, all I could think about was getting back to the squirrel park.
Maybe Droolia’s INSIDE the Squirrel Cafe.
The horror…the horror…

Has anyone actually seen a squirrel yet? This could be a diabolical diversion from Poncho’s brother.

Thank you Dottie! I’ve been Googling the lines without success. It so looked like a reference (and “Apocalypse Now” was my first guess!)

I agree with Poo Poo, six o’clock is din-din time! See you later boys!
