Glad she’s handing it to him outside. I can’t take a break inside when I’ve been shoveling unless I’m prepared to change soaking wet hat, jacket, gloves/mittens and U-Trau.

ah, if only we COULD get a kid to shovel the walk… that sort of muscular entrepreneurship is buried ’neath the snows of yesteryear…

Don’t trivialize a serious issue. Many Americans work full time and can’t make enough money doing it to stay alive without government handouts, meaning that we are subsidizing Walmart with our tax money, while the owners are the among the richest people in the world. I shop at places specifically chosen because they pay their workers well ( well, at least better) and provide benefits, and their prices aren’t higher than the places that don’t. Don’t see any reason to donate a dime to the 1%ers.

Ahh the good old days. I remember Clearing my Elderly Neighbor’s yard on top of getting $10 a driveway I had one that always gave me Fresh Chocolate Chip Cookies and Tea afterwards. She also saved me the comics from The Detroit Free Press just so I could follow “Dick Tracy” During the Summer I would cut her Grass for the same deal :) She was a sweet old lady who I miss greatly.

And for the record DLee4144 not everything has to deal with Wal-Mart. In fact if you do some reading other then the CNN garbage you would learn that Wal-Mart has a better Healthcare deal for ALL employee’s then they can get from your Lord and Master Obama.

When I was a boy I shoveled the snow and never had a hot cocoa or cookies in my life. Across the street from us was a small farm and the wind would blow across it and drift up our driveway.

I never had a deal like that in my impoverished neighborhood, but I did deliver the Detroit Free Press, along with 2 other papers. The Free Press is a great paper!

No need for that. If it’s only an inch or two you can clear it fast with a shovel.

Please to link that info. I get activist stuff in the email that decries WaMart for keeping wages low and how they have in store literature that tells employees about applying for food stamps. I would like fair and balanced reporting.

It’d sure be nice to be rewarded that way after shoveling snow, but if it’s not an option (such as when you have to do the job yourself), you can always make your own.
