    But Dad was heavier in his younger days. Not as heavy as the plugger son, because junk food was not as prevalent as today. But the concept is very true, ie: all those genetic pre-sets you never dreamed you’d share.

    Well said.
    “The Horsenbuggy Theory” I calls it.. How many calories did one expend “going to town for groceries” hooking
    up a buggy with all the traces, etc on a horse, getting to town, buying the basics at the general store versus turning an ignition key on 285 horses to bring home 17 bags of stuff that was grown/processed in 14 different countries??
    I remember Victory Gardens and “Beets Beat Berlin”
    But now, I hear a knocking at the door..
    Hereabouts, Tony’s Pizza delivers. Rather quickly, too, I might add. I’m a heavy (and getting heavier) tipper.
