    1: Drought
    2: Conserve water
3: look at all the water we saved, let the developers come in to build, build, build.

Not here in Georgia! There was enough rain here to make
    the grass greener 3 times!

The mower shop had my rig for five weeks but I finally got it back — and now the field out front looks like a field instead of a nascent forest.

This is the first weekend that it hasn’t rained in over 2 months.

I’ve mowed every week for the last three weeks and it looks like(if the sun ever shines) I’ll be mowing before Thursday this week. Rain is all well and good but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing!!!

Lots of rain in NC, or at least the eastern part.

Well here in North central Texas it’s a dry as a popcorn phart. We are five inches behind for rain fall just this year not to mention the fifteen inches we are short from the previous year and I don’t remember how short we are from the year before that. Our lakes (read water supply) are down to 37%.and we are under stage three drought restrictions. Not much to mow, just rearrange the dust.

I lived on a farm south of Houston when I was a kid. I can remember it got so dry our yard cracked so bad I could put my hand down in the cracks and the ground never touched my hand on either side. Then it rained in a deluge and flooded everything.

You are a plugger if you got one of those to mow your 1/4 acre lot.

Out here in Kaufman County, we had tons of rain. I finally wound up mowing damp grass, and it’s ained three more times since then.

I hope you checked well before your hand went into that crack. Sounds like a good way to get a scorpion sting

slap on the rototiller attachment, plant some sod, water, and bingo, in a few weeks you have a lawn.
