There used to be a great place like this close…I loved going there, the waitress really did call you hon…When I’d pass it early, on the way to work, I’d see people having breakfast and thought.."When I retire I’m going to go there every day for breakfast…even just for a cup of coffee "…So when I retired the diner was sold after being there for decades…and turned into a chinese restaurant…Never went back

It doesn’t have to be a BBQ, just a local place where everyone is treated as a neighbor are the best places to eatl.
Plus it is fun to sit back and listen to the locals ‘kid’ one another and the ‘waitress’.

In the Plugger World watch what you eat. You could be married to it.

Sorry to hear the diner closed.
If you want to be called “hon” by a waitress, try almost anywhere in Baltimore.

On the i95 sign which said Welcome to Baltimore, someone crossed out Baltimore and added Ballmur, hon.

reason the artist does the comic with animals as the main subject. too many folks assume if the artist did humans. that the human was meant to be them. and have demanded compensation as in cash due to that.
it is the same reason that authors put in that lil disclaimer in their books.

those sound like the folks they know of. in which case. they are not likely to go after the person’s money. just like Ms Kenyon uses family members at times in her books. but they know it ahead of time if they want to protest. or she has something on them…..
