My sister and I had that same conversation…It would take us a list of guesses to come up with names…“You know he used to date, er, what’s her name…she used to work at, um, you know that place that used to be down the street from that place we used to eat at…….”

Do not bet on that! We moved to a retirement community in Florida and guess you I ran into while attending a class. People in your class/HS move to the opposite coast also.

What’s scary is I can remember almost all the names of the kids from my kindergarten and 1st grade school photos than I can remember the young woman a young man married 5 years ago.

My mother used to chew me out because I’d forgotten who was who when I’d come back home from ‘somewhere’ after a twirl or two around the world..Family reunions on her side were the worst. People I’d only met once or twice way back when I was a kid were just ‘faces’ to me.. Now I’m getting to that stage of life that if I sit in fronta a Winn-Dixie long enough, SOMEbody from my past life will walk by !

Contrary to popular belief, names go before short-term memory. 3 1/2 hours ago, I hit 80.

Try being a teacher and remember a student you had in class 30 years ago. Granted, if he was a pain 2 and a half feet below the neck, You remember who he is the moment you hear his voice.
