American men are generally smart enough to figure things out without a stupid manual. That Plugger must be from Canaduh.

We don’t need no stinkin’ manual.

When I got my new car, one of my ex-roommates suggested I read the manual.
I replied, ‘I don’t need no manual, it’s an automatic!’
I remember getting a DVD of Godzilla 2000 … I could watch in English, French and Spanish … but not Japanese!

America needs a “Press One for English” and a “Press Two to Get Rid of congress” button!

Got a instruction manual once for Americans completely in Chinese. Let me know where we stand.
.@ Jolly1995: Can we combine that button?

I recently bought a steam jacketed kettle from a major American manufacturer. It came with nine instruction books in nine different languages; and nine different cook books in nine different languages. I kept the cook books in French, German Italian and English because I could read them, each had over 103-151 recipes and about a third of each language were different recipes than the English edition, to cover different national pallets.

A friend who speaks Mandarin is translating 71 recipes that are for different food items not in the English edition. The English edition only had 109 recipes.

When I was a but a wee child, I received a transistor radio for my birthday and the instructions were in a single language.

Yea, a Plugger never needs a manual…mine is still hidden underneath the VCR with the flashing display panel

Even if you don’t need the manual, there are few things more funny than reading English instructions which are literal translations from a non-European language.

My camera was made in Thailand, my lenses, similarly. My hi-fi was made in Asia, my pro video equipment was made in Thailand….in fact everything electronic that I posess was made in the far east. I am very happy with the way it performs.
I know it would have cost a lot more and would have been less efficient had it been made here. Is anything made in the UK or the US anymore?

    In the US: gas hogs.
In the UK: Minis and motorcycles
    Game, set and match UK.
