Don’t forget washing the car… which includes waxing, Rain-X-ing the windshield, etc., etc., etc.

Exactly.
Until some wacko liberal thinks that the kid is being subjected to child labor or something.

I had to trim the edges as a kid … with garden shears. I wish I knew then … the secret of rice pickers … don’t stand up till you’re done!

Oohh, the memories of winters on Clay Street, the driveway, the front walk and the sidewalk. ’Get’em clean, don’t want anyone slipping and hurting themselves then suing us’. After I passed 8 yrs old, my Dad never lifted a shovel or pushed a lawnmower.

Until some wacko conservative thinks liberals think that this is child labor or something. You will take that shovel from my kids cold dead hands!

Pluggers will also shovel snow for their more elderly neighbors.
RedTadpole said, 5 months ago
Pluggers shovel the drive for their dad when they are kids then again when they are full-grown and their dad is getting up in years. Pluggers just take care of family.

Exactly what I was thinking! No kid today that I’ve ever seen will do things like this just to “honor their fathers.” If force — or cash — weren’t involved, you’d never see a kid out doing any kind of manual labor like this whatsoever. Unfortunately, Plugger adults don’t necessarily have Plugger kids! I think more and more, polite, good old-fashioned manners are disappearing and being replaced by rude, self-centered, “it’s-all-about-me-because-the-universe-revolves-around-me!” manners instead. So sad!!!!!

Never saw anything like that when I was a kid. But I lived in a conservative town.
