    Take the promotion, buy dad a better boat and learn to delegate so you can take more time off to go fishing.

    He’s taking the promotion without a second thought. The first thing he’ll get is a new truck to celebrate. The dad will admire the truck but caution him on spending.

    Nor I by that measure, as my dad died when I was 23 (and my mom before 365 days had passed).

    my dad raised me alone from the time I was 6 mo.s old….what I wouldnt give to go fishing with him again…

    Never fished with Dad, lucky people. Ah..retirement… it is wasted on the old. I wish I could’ve retired when I was young and worked now.
