If that’s a Wisconson Badgers sweatshirt WHY IS IT IN THE COLORS OF THIER BIG TEN RIVALS THE MINNESOTA GOPHERS?!?!?!?!?!?!
Gary Brookins said, 13 days ago
I researched the colors on the Badgers Web site and colored the cartoon myself and submitted it to the syndicate. This is NOT the one I did. Obviously, this site used a panel colored by someone else. I will be looking into this Monday.

Dear Gary,
The local papers stopped carrying Pluggers several years ago. Thank you so much for making your wonderful cartoon available on line for folks like me.
I just printed off one the other day to give to the lady that cuts my husband’s hair. It was the one about most of the hair on the floor being from ears and eyebrows. She LOVED it and taped it up for others to see.
Thanks again Gary and all the great folks that help you.

I’m wearing my Broncos t-shirts again this year.
Not that I’m really much of a fan, but at least when they’re winning people don’t give me crud when I wear them.

It’s interesting, because in the subscription email it was not in colour, so someone there caught the mistake there or someone coloured it after that went out.

I have a Dallas Cowboys hooded jacket which I bought for $20 at a K-Mart in 1996. It is a zip-up one and keeps me warm in most winter weather here in NE Oklahoma.
I have never been a fan of professional football; but, since I like REAL working cowboys and have known several, I don’t mind it have the word and the star on it.
But, I am a rodeo fan and I do have a Professional Bull Riders ballcap with a patriotic stripes and stars design on it.

Susan- I’m glad you are still able to read us. Pluggers is a real joy to work on, and the best part is hearing from our readers. Plug on!

Maybe Gary someone at the syndicate is a “diehard” Minnesota Golden Gophers fan & decided to do a “Ted Turner” on the strip by changing the colors from the Red & White of the Wisconsin Badgers to the Maroon & Gold of the Minnesota Golden Gophers!

Gary,
It was great to hear from you.
I have a question, are you a fan of antique cars/trucks by any chance? I ask because my husband and I are members of the AACA and judge at shows for them and often you include wonderful drawings of old cars/ trucks in the panels.

Thanks, woodstock, I feel the same way, I have more cartoons from pluggers on my walls than any other. My newspaper also quit carrying the strip.
