Consider me a Plugger then. I been buying VCRs since 1992. I recently bought a DVD recorder a year ago.

I wouldn’t mind if I could find a good used VCR for cheap.
Mine’s broken and I still have a bunch of tapes.

Doc Toon-try some garage sales. I’ve seen them for as low as $5.00.

Regisandkelly - I didn’t have the time this year to hit the garage sales like I did last year.
I am keeping my eye open.
My lady friends daughter works at the local Goodwill, she keeping an eye out too.

I almost expected to see rabbit ears on the TV, too! I’ll bet they had to get a converter box! Actually, that’s probably what’s underneath the VCR.

I have a regular VCR connected to cable and to the bedroom TV.

But, in the living room, I have a “DVD-RW Recorder & VCR” which I found online at the Sears website and it was delivered to a local store where I picked it up.

My other TV, which is in the living room and in the same entertainment center, has a built in DVD player. I bought that from Sears, too. I also picked it up at the store.

They either have cable TV or one of those boxes on top of the TV is a converter box and the other is a VCR.

But, I would never put a VCR on top of a TV. The magnetic field from the TV, if it is on, messes up the picture on the tape when taping a show.

Yes, I have watched one TV show while recording 2 others at the very same time.

Doctor Toon: Have you tried eBay and Craig’s List? Sometimes you can find really good bargains there.

I know how to set the clock on any electronic device, and I can also program my vcrs and dvd recorders (Yes, I have several) for later recording. Just remember this: If it’s flashing, that means it wants to be set, and NEVER NEVER throw an owners manual away or anyplace where you can’t find it.
