I went to the local Cracker Barrel restaurant and I was not impressed with the food nor the service. My sisters when there once and they said they weren’t either.
I am reminded of a comic strip where a traveler stopped to eat at a place called “Ma’s Home Cookin’.”
The man told the waiter that he would like to compliment “Ma” on her cooking.
The waiter said, “She’s not here and she cannot cook. That’s why it’s called “Ma’s Home Cookin’.”

Guess you went to a crappy Cracker Barrel. I go there at least once a week or every other week. While the service isn’t the best at times, that’s just life. They could have been short handed, or the cook, server or whom ever is wrapped up in their personal problems.
You can always write to CB’s headquarters and complain about the particular restaurant.

Is she mad at the forgetting, or for the Cracker Barrel?

For the forgetting; Cracker Barrel is generally pretty good. Their chicken and dumplings is a favorite in my family.
And, Joe? Sorry the one near you wasn’t a winner. The one in Mesquite, TX has great food and friendly service. Of course, I can also say that about a sweet little hole-in-the-wall out East Texas off I-30… and their food’s even better!
