Big Horn river. Manderson to Basin Wy. About 7 hrs. Need a 3rd tube for sunscreen and refreshments.

Here in Northeastern Oklahoma, a “plugger cruise” can be a canoe float trip down the Illinois River in Cherokee County.
Oh, some people do use inner tubes and inflatable rafts.
I have been down the Illinois River in the foothills of the Ozarks quite a few times.
On one of those trips, my friend, Gus, from Hardin, Illinois was along. His family’s home was on the bank of the bigger Illinois River up there.

You’re not kidding about the burn, ej; I went down the Pecos with “waterproof” sunscreen, and wound up with a second-degree burn on my ankles. I’d never seen a Primacare nurse move so fast…
