My first car had had a small gas tank; stations used to give premiums for a ten-dollar fill-up, but even when I was running on fumes, I couldn’t take on more than six dollars’ worth.

My first blender (wedding present in the mid-1970s) finally bit the dust after about 25 years – but I still use my pots & pans & kitchen tools that I got with Green Stamps back then :-)

    Woo hoo – I’m a Plugger!

Green Stamps I remember, but not gas at 22.9 cents a gallon. It hasn’t been that CHEAP since the 60’s.
